Caffeinated Sample Pack

-Tropical Pineapple

-Chai

-Ginger Peach

Tropical Pineapple

(Sencha green tea, pineapple pieces, cornflower petals, and natural fruit flavoring)

water temp 170°F (not boiling)
time 2 minutes
amount 2 grams per 8 ounces water
infusion method The sencha green tea provides a refreshing light base for the addition of exotic, sweet pineapple, and it needs to be steeped with care so that it does not become bitter. Use lower temperature and less time than heartier Chinese greens.

Though tea balls and strainers are often used for tea that isn't pre-bagged, ideal methods of infusing loose leaf teas employ strainers that allow for the tea leaves to completely unfurl and release their flavor. Teapots with removable strainers for tea will allow a fuller flavor.

Some tea enthusiasts dispense with using strainers altogether and drop leaves in the pot directly and then strain the tea when serving into cups. When employing this method be sure to pour out all tea or remaining liquid will get bitter from over-steeping.
notes on tea strength The strength and flavor of tea is a personal experience.

We aim to provide times and temperatures that reduce the risk of allowing the actual tea leaves (or other delicate herbs in blends) to taste bitter due to too much steep time or to get scorched from too much heat.

If you desire a stronger cup, we suggest using more tea rather than a longer steep time to minimize the potential for a more bitter flavor.

To re-steep, add 1-2 minutes to the original steeping time. For each additional steep, continue to add 1-2 additional minutes until the flavor is exhausted.

Antioxidant Boost

(Green tea, marigold petals, peach pieces, ginger root, and natural fruit flavoring)

water temp 212°F (boiling)
time 2-3 minutes
amount 2 grams (2 teaspoons) tea per 8 ounces water
infusion method The Chinese green tea that makes the base of this ginger orange peach tea blend has a large leaf tea that has been hand-rolled and pan fried. This is more sturdy tea than more delicate steamed Japanese green teas and it will need a slightly longer steep time and higher temperature to extract its full flavor.

Though tea balls and strainers are often used for tea that isn't pre-bagged, ideal methods of infusing loose leaf teas employ strainers that allow for the tea leaves to completely unfurl and release their flavor. Teapots with removable strainers for tea will allow a fuller flavor.

(Organic Chamomile, Orange Peel, & Organic Hibiscus)

Steep Tea for 4 minutes. To re-steep, add 1-2 minutes to the original steeping time. For each additional steep, continue to add 1-2 additional minutes until the flavor is exhausted.

Why choose loose leaf tea over tea bags?
Whole leaf or loose leaf tea provides the cup with more flavor, health benefits and aroma than commercial tea bags, which are often made up of tiny leaf bits and tea dust which has lost most of its flavor and antioxidants.

Often times, the paper tea bags collapse onto the tea preventing water from infusing every inch of the leaf- flavor is usually extracted after only one steep whereas loose leaf tea can be steeped multiple times for several cups of tea.

As a tea drinker, have you ever considered the true cost of your brewing method? Try giving loose leaf tea a chance to reduce waste
