Lemongrass or East Indian lemongrass is also called Cochin grass or Malabar grass. It is thought to have its origins in South East Asia and native to Sri Lanka and South India among others. Historically is has been used in medicine, cosmetics, and culinary uses. In some cultures it has been called “fever grass” and is used for teas. It is a sister perennial
grass with Citronella and has the similar lemony smell. Both citronella and lemongrass have comparable repellent properties but lemongrass needs to be further diluted for topical use.

Lemongrass is a good choice for many applications intended for airborne odors, deodorizing, cleaning, repellent, mood, nervous, circulation, endocrine, reproductive, respiratory, muscular, immune, digestive, and skin conditions.

Please note: 0.7% is the maximum dermal use level recommended. Use only in low concentrations. Do not use during pregnancy or with children under 2 years old. Higher risk of skin sensitization. Do not use on hypersensitive, diseased ordamaged skin. Safety hazards include drug interaction and teratogenicity.

Lemongrass really helps with the arthritis in my knee I dilute it with Black Seed oil and will add Siberian Fir Needle, Frankinsense, or Copaiba as needed depending on how it is feeling. I love the smell too.

Leaked in the packaging during shipping. The labels on the lids of my other oils had slid off and everything in the package smelled like lemongrass, which is fine but it was messy and quite a bit of the product was gone. It is lovely product, though.

There are a lot of things that Lemongrass essential oil can be used for! It's a natural deodorizer, stress reducer, muscle relaxer, menstrual cramp relief, lowers cholesterol, reduces inflammation, and supports the immune system! You can make lemongrass tea by adding 1-2 drops in hot water!

Advantages

I truly love the vibrant citrus aroma. It is much sweeter milder scent then lemon. I use this in a roller recipe for muscle aches. Its a wonderful oil.

Disadvantages

I have found nothing I don't like about the oil itself. However I always loss my cap labels and wish the batch #s where on the bottle labels instead of my cap.

Comment

This oil is a personal favorite great for roller blend and the diffuser
