It's not fresh ginger and I didn't expect it to smell like it. Has a concentrated ginger scent. Love ginger and cinnamon in the diffuser for a nice aroma in the house. Yum!

This might be wonderful but I honestly can not get past the smell. I love ginger, this however has 0 resemblance to the smell of ginger. Sorry, it's awful!

I just received this oil today. The smell is definitely earthy. My family and I think the earthy tone smells a bit like cocoa! Definitely not the smell I'm used to when slicing a fresh ginger root, as another reviewer said, but I CAN detect those notes behind the initial earthy scent. I suspect it might have to do with origin or specific variety, since I've only had experience with one variety that I can get at the grocery store. I'll update when we have a chance to use it for more than just a pleasant aroma.

the ginger does not smell good like i thought it would. loooove fresh ginger, this smells nothing like that!!! however, it works great for my chronically upset tummy!!! i am very happy with this purchase. great price for great quality!

I have had a chronic cough on and off for years. I found the best remedy, and I've used many others. When I get a coughing spell, I fill a shot glass 1/2 full of water and add 1 or 2 drops of ginger oil, along with a few drops of Emu oil and drink. I follow with more water and my cough is gone immediately for hours. It also works without the Emu oil, but I wanted that extra help. I've never had anything work so well . . . even all the medications the doctors have given me. Now I'm free of all those medications and am able to sleep all night long. I love Jade Bloom oils!
