If you’ve been with us for a while, you might remember our Sensitive line of pre-diluted essential oils. It was created with good intentions. We wanted to make aromatherapy safer and easier, especially for people who didn’t want to calculate dilution ratios or carry multiple bottles.
And for a while, it helped.
But over time, something became clear.
You deserve clarity, not guesswork.
Where the Sensitive Line Fell Short
The Sensitive line was an important first step, but it wasn’t built with the full picture in mind.
A few issues became impossible to ignore:
We used different carrier oils across the line. Some blends were diluted with grapeseed oil, others with fractionated coconut oil or almond oil. That inconsistency created confusion and unpredictability from product to product.
The word “sensitive” unintentionally suggested these oils were primarily appropriate for children or people with delicate skin.
At the time, much of the aromatherapy world believed dilution was only necessary for “hot” oils or sensitive skin. That thinking was widespread, and we followed it too.
Now we know better.
Ongoing research shows that proper dilution is not about making an oil weaker. It often makes essential oils more effective by improving bioavailability and reducing the risk of sensitization. Diluted oils are gentler on the skin and easier for the body to work with.
Some Sensitive formulas were still strong enough that customers needed to dilute them further depending on use. Others were so lightly diluted that people questioned whether essential oil was present at all.
And the biggest issue of all: people were still unsure how to use them safely and consistently.
Rather than patching the line, we chose to rebuild it from the ground up.
