There are approximately 60 countries around the world that cultivate this crop, but the overall yield is rather small, only about 600,000 tons per year around the world. In modern history, the vegetable oil that is extracted from the seeds is the most valuable element of the plant, and the majority of production is used for that purpose. The oil, however, is a good replacement for other, less healthy vegetable oils that are widely used, so the market continues to increase around the world. The health benefits of this oil, rather than more traditional vegetable oils, are significant and are outlined in more detail below.
What is Safflower?
This colorful thistle-like plant has very few uses but was traditionally used for dyes as it has the ability to color
fibers with vibrant yellow and red hues!
Organic Safflower Oil:
Jade Bloom’s 100% Pure Organic Safflower Oil comes from the white seed of this plant.

Among its many health benefits are:
heart health, regulating blood sugar, hair care, skin care, regulate cholesterol and can help manage PMS symptoms.
Heart Health & Cholesterol:
Due to the high content of Omega-6 fatty acids, Safflower oil can balance the levels of
cholesterol and decrease the chances of heart attacks and strokes.
Linoleic acid in this oil makes it a great choice for improving the quality of your skin. This acid has
the power to unclog pores and clear up acne. Even better… Linoleic acid is known to stimulate cell
regeneration which will reduce the appearance of scars and other blemishes!
The vitamin in Safflower responsible for increasing circulation is called oleic acid. By stimulating
blood flow to the scalp, follicles are strengthened and which will keep your hair healthy and strong.
The prostaglandins in the body are responsible for the intense hormonal change that happens
before and during menstruation. Safflower oil regulates those glands, thus making PMS symptoms less severe.
