Blue yarrow is a rare essential oil that has a striking blue color. The scent is both sweet and herbaceous. It is considered to act as an anti-inflammatory agent. This essential oil is a must-have for your essential oil collection.
Our organic Blue Yarrow has a diffusive aroma that is sweet, fresh, and green-herbaceous with a woody and somewhat camphoraceous note that becomes sweeter in the dry down. When Achillea millefolium is distilled, one of the essential oil constituents, matricin (a sesquiterpene1), decomposes into chamazulene with its deep vivid blue color as a result of the heat and pressure of distillation. Chamazulene is one of the primary components of our organic Blue Yarrow and boasts healthy, beneficial properties; other notable constituents are ß-pinene+sabinene, ß-caryophyllene, germacrene D, 1-terpinen-4-ol, 1,8 cineole, and smaller amounts of many others.
It is said that the Yarrow herb is named after Achilles, a figure in Greek mythology who used the herb to treat the wounds of soldiers he led in the Trojan War. He died from a fatal wound to his heel, the only vulnerable part of his body. That may explain why the Achilles tendon and the Latin binomial for Yarrow, Achillea millefolium, share his name. Blue Yarrow essential oil is very effective in aromatherapy applications and lends an intriguing note in natural perfumery when used in trace amounts.
Blue yarrow essential oil essential oil is a wonderfully fragrant addition to cosmetic applications, personal care formulations, soaps, perfumery, incense, candles, and aromatherapy.

I love this oil. Combined it with Pomegranate Seed oil to help reduce dark circles. Love the smell of this combo!
I love my vibrantly colored oils - they make me so happy! I am excited to use this once I'm through pregnancy.
I actually just used this in my foaming soap recipe, loved it!
I couldn't pass this free special up as I am fascinated with the blue EOs and want to try them all. So I added this to my collection after purchasing a Blue Tansy from from Eden Botanicals which I love!
I use this as a muscle and joint pain rub helps a lot with the pain
Alone the scent is off to me but mixing it with other oils to make a blend works well.
My friend has been using this for issues of dermatitis. The doctors have given her steroid cream to use on her hands and fingers for couple of years now. I let her try the Blue Yarrow on her hands and the next day, her hands and pain had eased up. She used again for couple of days, the rough stickers feeling on finger has subsided and softened. She likes it very much.
Has a strange smell but when mixed with others it’s very nice.
The smell is very strong, I don't particularly like it alone. But when mixed with other oils it has a nice scent.
I haven't had a chance to use this oil yet, but just like all the other Jade Bloom oils, I am positive I will love it!
My sister got this with her most recent order and gave me a one ml sample. It absolutely wreaks. It smells awful, but it's therapeutic properties are many and I've added it to a flu bomb recipe.
I am looking forward to using this oil. I am making a massage lotion with it.
I left a previous review and forgot to give it 5 stars this is a beautiful sweet smelling oil that I am using in cosmetics and lotions.
Adding to my body lotion love the blue color
This herb is very common where I live and we have used it since I was a kid to fight the flu and other illnesses, as well as preparing it for my mom and sisters for hormonal issues. Now, if we don't collect enough, we can use this for topical and the rest for oral. SO happy to have found this.
Wow! ,This oil is strong and potent and the list of benefits is absolutely awesome! We are using it tonight in a rollerball with fractionated coconut oil to suppress a cough, and we are already seeing a difference. So glad I got this!!!
This oils smells heavenly
This oil smells amazing!!!
This oil smells amazing, very different than dried Yarrow, but just like the fresh plant and the color.... It's a beautiful blue color.
I was in a hurry and needed something to put on my face after washing it so I dropped a few drops of blue yarrow into a small dab of buckthorn berry oil & rubbed it into my face as a moisturizer. I then went outside in my back yard and forgot about it. I was sitting in the sun, minding my own business when a bee tried to fly into my mouth (he actually made it & I spit him out). I actually had venom on my tongue. I flipped! Later, I word searched "yarrow & bees" & learned that if you want to attract bees to your yard, plant yarrow. Oh well. This was a very confused and very aggressive bee. I tried to stomp him & missed. I felt personally attacked but it turns out the bee probably smelled the yarrow on my face. I'm glad I missed him (stomping). It was probably my fault. I suppose this yarrow oil received a bee's endorsement as to its authenticity. I'm impressed.
