Advantages

The smell is really strong, so a little bit goes a long way. This is great because it's kind of expensive for a 5ml bottle. I got mine almost a year ago and am just now using up the last of it. I really like using it as a base smell for shampoo or body wash. It's great for that. I really like it, although the smell isn't what anyone would expect. Some people have described it as woody; honestly, the closest I can compare it to is REALLY strong chopped grass.

Disadvantages

Probably not a smell you just put in the diffuser, since to me it smells like strong, wet, chopped grass. I would recommend using it as a base smell, and mixing it with perhaps a strong floral or spice smell.

I use it in a blend along with clove bud and cedarwood atlas. It smells divine!

I need to revisit using galbanum in a blend. On its own, it reminds me of a smell in my pipe-smoking grandpa’s house, ...not a bad thing, just that memory.

This is an awesome oil to use post work out. It supports muscle recovery and helps lactic acid dissipate faster.
