The only disadvantage I could think of would be that it is pretty thick and sticky.

I use this in my conditioner and on the frizzy ends of my hair! I also use it with my eyelash brush to plump up my eyelashes! Works great! Never knew that Castor oil worked that way until Jade Bloom!
