Rest assured this is not due to leakage or under-filling, but rather due to the characteristics of this oil. Feel free to contact our support team with any concerns should your bottle arrive with a lower fill line.

Nutmeg is a tree native to Indonesia in which two species are found, nutmeg and mace. The first mentioning of nutmeg was in the fifth century where it was introduced to the West by Arabian traders. During the middle ages, nutmeg was considered one of the most valuable spices traveling from the East.  Due to the resemblance of the human brain nutmeg was prescribed for a myriad of ailments including as an opiate.

Nutmeg essential oil has been applied in herbal medicine as a strong tonic and a warming circulatory stimulant.  In Tibetan medicine, it is prescribed for palpitations, anxiety, restlessness, agitation, depression, and other mental issues. The analgesic properties of nutmeg contribute to the relaxation of muscles and the sedation of the body. The oil is also effective for rheumatic pain, toothaches, and bad breath. Nutmeg contains the chemical compound eugenol, which contains significant antibacterial properties. According to research published in Avicenna Journal of Phytomedicine, nutmeg was found to have significant antidepressant qualities when tested on subjects.

Nutmeg essential oil is analgesic, antiemetic, antioxidant, antiseptic, antispasmodic, aphrodisiac, carminative, emmenagogue, larvicidal, stimulant, tonic, rheumatoid arthritis, pain, anti-inflammatory, and anti-depressant.

Helpfulness
Very good for energy!

Did you know that Nutmeg is truly an energizing oil? I use it for poor circulation, pain, and sleep on the bottom of my feet in a roller bottle that I made. When I wake up in the morning,I feel so much more engerized than when I didn't have this oil. When I was without it,I would be tired all the time but now I feel more energized in the morning because of this oil. It won't keep you awake at night and it'll achaully relax you so you can sleep so it's ok to use it at night for pain or sleep insomnia if you need to. My favorite way to use this oil though is for bad circulation issues. I have pain all the time in my legs from bad circulation and Nutmeg really helps with that. It's one of the best oils I've used for pain and circulation. So try this oil if your kinda like me and struggle with circulation, energy, and sleep Insomnia. It'll probably help you out a ton!

I love the smell of Nutmeg essential oil! Also,it actually reminds me of my grandma because she used to cook with nutmeg alot. It's my favorite spicey essential oil because it's not overly so and it does have a woodsy scent to it also. It's very nice and I just love this essential oil.

Advantages

It works great for my headaches, pairs well with lots of other oils when diffusing, and helps with my teeth pain when I add it to mouthwash.

Disadvantages

It's very strong and can easily overwhelm, I only use a couple drops at a time.

Comment

It smells exactly like ground nutmeg, except stronger.
