chili seed

Chili seed oil is one of the most potent and colorful essential oils I have ever laid my hands on!  Don’t let It’s fun bright orange color distract you from
the fact that this is an extremely “hot” oil that requires caution and dilution with each use.

This unique Jade Bloom oil is steam distilled from chili seeds and originates from India. A single drop of Chili seed undiluted on your skin is sure to
cause irritation and redness, and if you get a drop on your tongue, prepare for your eyes to water in a matter of moments!

Before you dive headfirst into using this oil, always remember to heavily dilute it and know that side effects may include irritated skin and upset stomach.
This oil should never be used on children or elderly. With that being said, when chili seed oil is used responsibly, it is generally considered harmless for most people.

Okay, now that we have all of that out of the way, let’s explore all the powerful health benefits that can be obtained through topical and internal use of this oil.

With one of the main active ingredients in chili oil being Capsaicin (known to increase blood flow), most commonly, this oil is used to stimulate hair
growth and bring blood flow to the hair follicles to carry important nutrients up to the scalp to promote healthy hair. These claims are backed up by a study done in 2007 on both mice and humans.

Typically, users will add Chili Seed Oil to their Shampoo, or create a hair mask with chili oil and unrefined, virgin coconut oil. Other oils that promote hair growth include rosemary and lavender.
To create a complete hair mask, in 1 measuring cup of melted virgin coconut oil, add 10 drops rosemary oil, 5 drops of chili seed oil and 5 drops of lavender oil. mix well and apply to
he scalp for 30 minutes then rinse with shampoo and conditioner as normal.

Other benefits include stimulating the immune system by boosting production of white blood cells, relieving pain with its anti-inflammatory properties, reversing or slowing down
Alzheimer’s and dementia symptoms and lowering blood pressure by stimulating circulation.

What benefit of chili seed oil has you most excited to try it out?
We would love to hear your favorite ways to use this oil and what your success stories are!
